I love helping people live their best lives through my work as an Executive and Employee Performance Coach, Keynote speaker, Cultural consultant, and Educator. I've amassed positive results across - and within - every level of an organization. Most valuable to me is partnering with people to enhance the quality of their personal and professional lives.
I've held Leadership positions at every level of an organization...from a Director of Communications, a Total Quality Manager, a Vice President of Sales and Marketing, and a Corporate Officer and Board Member. In 1994, I became Founder and CEO of Intellectual Architects, Inc., a Leadership and Organizational Development firm. My robust experiences led to the research and development of the "Fearless Leadership®" and "Spirited Cultures™" Leadership development programs. I've served as a Quality Examiner for the State of Minnesota Malcolm Baldrige Award, am an Affiliate Coach with Executive Coaching Connections, Chicago, IL, and have volunteered extensively in service to humanity.
In 2018, Intellectual Architects became the Department of Being, LLC. Our mission continues to
enhance the quality of life for both human beings and organizations. Integrity is our team's absolute Core Value; we know too much to settle for less.
I am based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, "Land of 10,000 Lakes" and Winters that build Character.

My Passion
Guiding people to uncover, discover, and/or recover their own passion, innate talents, and quality of life - both personal and professional - is my passion.
Our flagship series,
Fearless Leadership®, was selected for a grant by the University of Minnesota to validate my research and design of a
13-month Leadership Development program and proprietary Coaching series. Now Spirited Cultures™,
the program has since been delivered to organizations of every size and type across America.
We are honored to bring our expertise to you, offering tailored program designs in leadership development, employee engagement, cultural strategies, or organizational events that engage the hearts and minds of the entire organization in achieving a Performance Culture of Value.
My Education
- I graduated magna cum laude from Augsburg University with a B.A. in Human Relations/Psychology. I hold an M.A. in Human Development from St. Mary’s University.
- I'm a certified Hogan Assessment and Korn Ferry Leadership Architect (KF360) consultant and coach.
- I developed the proprietary Spirited Cultures™ program and Performance Coaching certification process.
- I hold advanced certificates from the W. Edwards Deming Institute; the American Society of Quality Control (ASQC); the University of Tennessee Management Program; Spiral Dynamics and Integral Theory (SDi); and the National Juvenile Detention Association.
- I am also certified as a Restorative Justice Circle Keeper and Conflict Mediator.
